Dive Into the Aqua Zoo: A Marine Wonderland

Nicknamed the Aqua Zoo, this vibrant dive site near the wreck of the Sea Emperor is a true marine spectacle. Known for its astonishing variety of marine life, the Aqua Zoo is home to large Southern Stingrays, massive Goliath Groupers weighing up to 300 pounds, sleek Nurse Sharks, and curious Green Moray Eels. Divers are treated to an unparalleled underwater experience, surrounded by countless fish and small critters inhabiting the wreck and its surroundings. This site has gained global acclaim, featured on television shows like Wild Things and Adventure Crazy and dubbed “The Stingray Dive You Can Drive To” by Skin Diver Magazine.

The centerpiece of this underwater haven is the Sea Emperor, a 171-foot-long hopper barge donated by a dredging company and deliberately sunk to serve as an artificial reef. Alongside it, 1,600 tons of concrete culverts scattered across the ocean floor provide shelter for crabs, shrimp, corals, and sponges. The wreck rests upside down, creating unique opportunities for exploration, with multiple access points and natural light filtering through its chambers. Whether you’re captivated by the larger marine inhabitants or fascinated by the intricate ecosystem within the culverts, the Aqua Zoo promises an unforgettable diving adventure.

What To Expect:

• EVENT: 2 Tank Boat Dive (includes tank(s) + weights)
• DIVE TYPE: Anchor Dive
• AVERAGE DEPTH: 50-70 feet.
• TIME: Meet at 7:30AM. 
• MEET LOCATION: GET DIRECTIONS
• DURATION: Boat Trips typically last 6 hours
• SKILL LEVEL: Open Water Diver or Equivalent Experience
