Rescue Scuba Diver SDI:

Rescue Scuba Diver NAUI:

This course trains divers in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies. Included are: assists, transports, surface rescues and rescues from depth involving both boat- and shore-based skin and scuba divers. The course meets the prerequisite rescue diver training for NAUI Skin Diving Instructor, NAUI Assistant Instructor, NAUI Divemaster and NAUI Instructor certifications.

Basic Life Support and CPR [BLS+CPR]:

The Heartsaver® CPR AED Online course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center instructor. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session, will receive a Heartsaver CPR-AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Emergency Oxygen Use:

Emergency oxygen can be given for many breathing and cardiac emergencies. It can help improve hypoxia (insufficient oxygen reaching the cells) and reduce pain and breathing discomfort. Oxygen First Aid for Emergencies is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency oxygen to a suddenly ill or injured patient until more advanced medical help can be obtained. Supplying emergency oxygen helps meet the patient’s critical need for oxygen. When illness or injury reduces the body’s ability to process oxygen, shock will soon occur, unless the effects of the decreased amount of oxygen in the blood can be reversed. Providing supplemental oxygen early in the emergency can make a vital difference.
